Services for Teachers
The Florida Inclusion Network (FIN) provides free information, professional development, and support to teachers related to the inclusion of students with disabilities in general education classrooms/school settings and participation in the general education curriculum.
During your initial contact with your local FIN facilitator, you will be asked to provide background information about your students/classroom, identify any questions and/or concerns you might have, and identify your goals/desired outcomes for your students as well as your personal professional development.
- Based on your individual situation, your FIN facilitator will work with you to:
- identify "next steps,"
- provide you with information about inclusion or effective instructional practices,
- identify professional learning opportunities that are based on your students’ data/needs, and
- help you to contact/access other resources and supports that might be appropriate for your specific situation.
Your FIN facilitator is available to provide you with on-going support and technical assistance including action planning, team problem-solving, professional development, and follow-up.
