· Laura Lang, Ph. D, Director of Learning Systems Institute and Co-Principal Investigator for Florida PROMiSE, is directing the leadership project. She is also an Associate Professor of Educational Leadership and Policy Studies, and a former middle school principal, high school assistant principal and high school teacher.
· Rob Schoen, Associate Director of FCR-STEM and formerly of the Office of Mathematics and Science at the Florida Department of Education is taking the lead on design and delivery related to mathematics content and pedagogy as well as the research study. At OMS, Rob had a lead role in development of the new mathematics standards and in Fall 2007 co-led regional mathematics standards workshops for educators with FCR-STEM. Rob is a doctoral candidate in mathematics education at FSU and holds degrees in mathematics, atmospheric science, and mathematics education.
· Danielle Sherdan, Ph.D., FCR-STEM’s Assistant Director for Technical Assistance, is taking the lead on the design and delivery related to science content and pedagogy. She has been planning and delivering FCR-STEM regional workshops for educators on the new mathematics and science standards in Florida since Fall 2007. In addition, she holds a Ph.D. from the Department of Biological Sciences, College of Arts & Sciences, FSU and is a former National Science Foundation Graduate K-12 Fellow, which provided significant K-12 classroom experience.
· Mabry Gaboardi, Ph. D., Project Director for PROMiSE Teacher Institutes (Seminole & PAEC), and most recently served as the Education and Public Outreach Facilitator for the NASA-funded STAR Program hosted through the National High Magnetic Field Laboratory. Prior to that she was a National Science Foundation Graduate K-12 Fellow. Through the Learning Systems Institute, Mabry is involved in workshop design and facilitation, and assists in activities related to science content and pedagogy. She recently completed her Ph.D. in the Department of Geological Sciences, FSU.
· Christi Moss, former Principal of Chaires Elementary School in Leon County and the Past President of the Florida Association of School Administrators (FASA), serves as the Project Director of the PROMiSE Leadership Professional Development Design Team and Project. Christi is experienced at delivering professional development to school and district administrators, in areas including Classroom Walkthrough Training, Crisis Prevention Institute, and Professional Learning Communities in Schools. She is a former middle and high school assistant principal and middle school teacher.
